Dr Alan Dow is a founder member of the Family Doctor Association.  Alan has worked as a GP for 25 years and runs a single handed training practice in Gamesley near Glossop. His interests include the causes of substance misuse and reducing health inequalities. He is also active in training new GPs.He is also Chair of NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and is responsible for leading the CCG’s Governing Body and the Single Commissioning Function of the CCG
