The Association for free-thinking family doctors safeguarding continuity of care

The Family Doctor Association leads the way to the future for grassroots primary care. With over 1000 members inspired for over 30 years. Continuity of care benefits patients, improves health outcomes and saves the NHS money. The member GP practices aim to provide high quality medical care while maintaining the traditional personal care of the family doctor in a friendly environment promoting health by education and preventative measures.

The FDA is a proactive, caring organsiation you can trust to support you.

Why do GPs join the Family Doctor Association?

GPs like you enjoy education for them and their teams, support in a fast-changing GP landscape to cope with change, factsheets on, for example, QOF, revalidation, federation, hypertension, time-saving hot tips plus free advice to members on difficulties in their professional practice.

Membership gives you a sense of identity of the type of practice which melds the best of the older-fashioned patient-sensitive practice with the best of modern medicine. You can use the Association’s logo as branding to support your practice identity and cohesion. Show patients you are part of a national organisation dedicated to high quality care with continuity of care. Proper vocational medicine.

We also lobby at the highest level for the type of practice which offers continuity of care and personal medicine and for old-fashioned values in a modern context and the FDA is always at the top table to influence the direction of travel and work with other organisations in primary care.
